As it was last year, we will be graced w/ one of our favorite local acts, Whoa Nelly!. These guys (and sometimes gals) put on one hell’uva show that doesn’t dissapoint! Did I mention the event is free?

Hungry? All you can eat crawfish will be served starting around 3pm, til we run out. Also, grilled dogs & burgers most of the day out side on the patio.

The pickin’ and grinin’ will last til whenever they feel like quittin’. So get here early and stay all night, it’s going to be one hell’uva shindig! Boss.

DOG DAZE

Sunday, May 20th starting at 1pm we are transforming the patio of Diesel Filling Station (located at 870 N. Highland Ave NE) into a dog filled extravaganza! With the help of local dog trainer/wizard Justin Hall of Atlanta Dog Wizard, we are bringing you a day of dog filled fun. Contests a plenty, raffles, exhibitions, treats, toys, all around fun.

Raffle items have been donated from everyone imaginable. Restaurants, groomers, washers, treats, improv comedy, dog training, and most importantly our beloved PBR. Bean Woorley from PBR has donated some great items to raffle including branded dog bowls & toys to the magnificent PBR DOGHOUSE (see below) & PBR Hammock for those lazy summer daze!

We will also have HUMAN specials that day, including hotdogs & burgers right off the outdoor grill, a specialty hotdog created just for the event & $1 from each PBR sold is going to charity! WOOF!

BBQ pork tacos- pork butt w a mexican rub slow smoked on the egg, jicama cabbage slaw & bacon on top

Sweet & sour kabobs- steak cuts marinated in s&s made w/ g’knight beer, veggies on skewer: onion, bell peppers & pineapple

We will have cornhole, beer pong, flip cup and battle shots ( think life size game of battleship but each ship has ‘X’ amount of shot glasses on it. When your ship gets hit you have to take the shot (beer of course)!)

The Season 2 Finale of The Walking Dead is approaching at a rapid pace; much faster than your average roamer. We’ve been your safe haven for all things Walking Dead and the season finale is no different. Diesel is going full on Quarantine for March 18^th. Upon approach you will notice we’ve secured the building from the virus, complete with our own security force, The Society of Zombie Assassins. Upon entering Diesel you will see we are trying to reserve the generator power so only our televisions will be operational. This means all food will be prepared outside on the grill and all purchases must be paid in cash. (We have secured credit card forms for the night!) For those of you who forget we will have our ATM powered for the night but we suggest you plan ahead, this is the Zombie Apocalypse after all.

Event kicks off at 7pm so be prepared. We will have a limited food menu, including burgers & hotdogs, snow balls and chips. Basically anything we could scavenge while maintaining a safe distance from the undead. We will be offering a full beer selection with limited liquor available. Have no fear, we have secured copious amounts of Jagermeister & Fireball cinnamon whiskey!

We ask all survivors to bring in canned food items to stockpile the compound, and for your efforts we will provide one raffle ticket per can food. We have many ‘survival’ items to raffle away throughout the night, as well as many ‘rare’ items to auction away. Keep an eye on the web (Facebook, Twitter, dieselatlanta.com) for pictures and descriptions of these hard to find items.

WARNING: A good strategy is always blend in to your environment, so if you choose to costume as a zombie make sure your presence is known before you enter. As well, we could always use well equipped survivors to secure the perimeter. Choose wisely.

WALKING DEAD Silent Auction proceeds to benefit ANNIE!

The auction proceeds are going to benefit our good friend Annie Tee. She has Lupus, and spent the entire holiday season in the hospital. When she finally got released she was left with a $45k bill!! Being a fellow Zombie slayer we have decided to do everything we can to help. She is a member of the Society of Zombie Assassins and a major player in the local zombie scene.
